STUDY/LIBRARY AREA

The Study/Library concept design was the water element; as water is constantly flowing, with much of its activity happening below the surface. Those who study or read do the same thing mentally where they seam quite and calm while their minds are constantly working.

Water element is represented through the ceiling design where strong curves are shown to represent water movement near the seats as they calm down to the end of the space, imitating the waves movement when it hits the shore. The ceiling is also an acoustical solution made out of 95% recycled metal which holds Greenguard Certification, supplied by Armstrong Ceilings.

Shelves also displayed water movement. And seatings diverted from recycled aluminium chairs to cozy sofa chairs. Unique sofa chairs were also added which have the ability to store books.

All of the fabrics used in the upholstery are made of Ramie plant fibres with exceptional hygroscopic properties, supplied from Climatex Textiles and hold Cradle to Cradle Certification,
